TIMESTAMP. Yesterday was a day to NEVER forget and to remind myself of on the days when the sacrifices and work leave me [briefly] questioning my WHY.

While Gatorade announced I'd been chosen 2022-2023 New Mexico Girls Track and Field Player of the Year, I was completing a 3-day NIKE Speed Camp hosted at the University of Houston by Head Coach Carl Lewis (The GOAT), Athletic Director, Will Blackburn and Assistant Head Coach Kyle Tellez.

I'm still recovering from the travel and training, so I won't geek out with all the World Class coaching and sage wisdom I received right now. I know, the homework is mine to retain and execute.

What stuck with me most as I headed home to New Mexico is my love for the work, the process, the challenge. As long as my focus continues to be honing my craft in the pursuit of Track Excellence, the accolades will naturally follow.

Yes, I'm thankful for my Gatorade recognition but the Elite training I've received over the past few days and the 1:1 Long Jump session with one of the most decorated Track and Field Athletes of ALL TIME, was PRICELESS.

I am a better Athlete today and crystal-clear on my WHY.
