In its 38th year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, Gatorade announced that I—Jaiya Daniels, of Los Alamos High School—am the 2022-23 Gatorade New Mexico Girls Track & Field Player of the Year. It’s an honor to be recognized by Gatorade.
Still, it’s just one part of my story.
Each and every day, my path forward is more and more clear. While my dream requires sacrifices, and there may be disappointments along the way, I trust the process. And I’m sure of one thing: I’m exactly where I belong.
