I am Jaiya Devi.

In 2023, I produced an award-winning short film, “Sister Of The Circle,” exploring my life as a Black girl growing up in New Mexico—or as we call it, the Land of Enchantment.

Sister Of The Circle won best documentary among 93 student films as part of the Film Prize Junior New Mexico annual film festival. You can learn more about my film here.

Breeze drifting on by, you know how I feel.

IT'S A NEW DAWN.

IT'S A NEW DAY.

IT'S A NEW LIFE FOR ME.

AND I'M FEELING GOOD.

Fish in the sea, you know how I feel. River running free, you know how I feel. Blossom on a tree, you know how I feel.

IT'S A NEW DAWN. IT'S A DAY. IT'S A NEW LIFE FOR ME. AND I'M FEELING GOOD.
